About this award

Canada Company supports the children of Canadian Armed Forces members who died while serving on domestic or international operations. Eligible students receive up to $5,000 a year for up to four years of full-time college or university. There is no published deadline; families submit a short form and Canada Company confirms eligibility with the Canadian Armed Forces.

Who can apply

  • Child of a Canadian Armed Forces Regular or Reserve member killed while serving in a domestic or international operation any time since January 1, 2002 (includes service-attributed suicide as determined by a Board of Inquiry)
  • Age 16 or older and enrolled full time in post-secondary education
  • Eligibility ends at age 25, except for limited post-graduate awards

What to submit

  • Online application form, or a letter by mail or email
  • Written authorization for the Canadian Armed Forces to confirm eligibility
  • Proof of full-time post-secondary enrolment each year
