$2,000Two bursaries of $2,000 each. Winners are invited to the Northern Ontario Ag Conference in Sudbury on February 5 and 6, 2027, with conference tickets and travel paid.
Deadline
Jan 15, 2027Apply on or before January 15, 2027. Proof of enrolment is required, so a Grade 12 student needs an acceptance letter by then.

About this award

Two $2,000 bursaries for students starting university, college or an apprenticeship in agriculture or veterinary medicine. Northern Ontario residents are preferred, and selection looks at marks, involvement in agriculture and interest in working in the North. Grade 12 students can apply once they have an acceptance letter.

Who can apply

  • Ontario resident
  • Entering an undergraduate, graduate or apprenticeship program in agriculture or veterinary medicine
  • Applicant should live in Northern Ontario
  • Selection based on academic achievement, agricultural community involvement and interest in living or working in Northern Ontario

What to submit

  • One-page cover letter to the bursary committee
  • Proof of enrolment (acceptance letter, or a letter of employment or mentor letter for apprenticeships)
  • Letter of recommendation from a teacher, supervisor or mentor
