About this award

The Ontario Nurses' Association offers up to nine $1,000 scholarships plus one $2,000 Reese Fallon Memorial Scholarship each year to immediate family members of ONA members, including children and grandchildren. Applicants must be Ontario residents in their first nursing or other regulated health professional program in Ontario. An essay of up to 1,000 words and proof of enrolment are required, so most students apply once they are enrolled in their program.

  • Immediate family member of an ONA member with entitlements (includes son, daughter and grandchild)
  • First-time student enrolled in an accredited CNSA-affiliated nursing program or other regulated health professional program in Ontario in the current calendar year (any year of program)
  • Ontario resident
