About this award
Students who are in or were formerly in extended society care in Ontario can get back the fees they pay to apply to college and university. It covers up to 5 university choices through OUAC and up to 5 college choices through OCAS, with a limit of 2 fee categories. Students send a signed form with their fee receipts by mail or email. Age, income and adoption status do not affect eligibility.
Who can apply
- Current or former Ontario child in extended society care (formerly Crown ward)
- Has not already received a post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate
- Has applied to an OSAP-approved program and already paid the application fees
- Age, income and adoption status do not matter
- Second-entry professional programs such as law and medicine are not covered

- Copies of application fee payment receipts
- Mail the form, or email a signed electronic copy to fab@ontario.ca
