About this award

The RBC Elevate Scholarship helps students aged 17 to 29 with financial need attend their first bachelor's degree or diploma program in Canada. It pays $15,000 a year for a bachelor's degree or $8,000 a year for a diploma, for up to four years. Up to 40 are awarded across Canada each year. Grade 12 students who are 17 or older when they apply can apply in the winter before starting post-secondary.

Who can apply

  • Age 17 to 29 at time of application
  • Shows financial need through the application's self-reported assessment
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person
  • Starting or continuing full-time studies in a first bachelor's degree or diploma at a Canadian institution
  • Program at least two years long
  • RBC employees and their dependents are not eligible
  • At least one year left in the program at the time of application
  • Active recipients of the RBC Future Launch Scholarship for Indigenous Youth or Black Youth are not eligible
