About this award

Trent automatically gives renewable entrance scholarships to Canadian students entering first year from a Canadian secondary school with an admission average of 80% or higher. Yearly amounts are $1,500, $2,000 or $3,000 for four years depending on the average. Students at 95% or higher get full first-year tuition plus $4,000 a year for three more years. Renewal requires an 80% average in a full course load each year.

Who can apply

  • Canadian student entering first year from a Canadian secondary school
  • Admission average of 80% or higher (Ontario: top six 4U/4M courses)
  • Full-time course load each term: at least 2.0 credits, a reduced load approved as an accommodation by Student Accessibility Services, or a full-time experiential learning opportunity
  • Not eligible: part-time, non-degree, mature and BEd students
  • To renew: 80% average and 5.0 Trent credits in the previous academic year (3.0 credits with an accessibility accommodation)
  • Up to four years of scholarships in a first undergraduate degree at Trent
